Special Effects Paints

Here at Tux Custom Paint Shop we offer a wide range of different paint finishes and effects. 

Please find below a list of the most popular styles we have done in the past. 

CANDY

This effect is achieved by applying a base coat of metallic/flake paint, followed by a translucent candy paint over the top which shows the metallic /flake underneath and enhances these finishes to a different level. 

TEXTURED

Different textures can be achieved by using a combination of paint types with a range of application techniques. We can produce various textures to suit your desired look. 

FLAKE

Metal Flake can be applied to most surfaces and gives that little bit of extra sparkle and can be used for a multitude of different effects. More popular with the old school choppers it is now widely used in all types of custom paintwork to add that little something special. 

MARBLE

This is a technique used to add a little more depth to otherwise plain areas. Once a candy has been applied over the marble the outcome has a dramatic effect. 

CRACKLE

A base coat is applied to the area required and a specialist paint is applied over the top and when heat is applied the cracks start to appear. There are many different colours that can be used so we can accommodate any colour combination.

CHROMACOAT (COLOUR CHANGING)

This one definitely plays tricks on the eyes. The paint changes colour when in sunlight and we offer a wide range of different colour combinations to suit your needs.
